We evaluate 5 publicly verifiable factors for each knowledge base. Each factor contributes 1 point to a maximum score of 5. All data is sourced directly from our products database — no invented facts, no editorial guesses.

Pricing Transparency (+1) knowledge base publishes actual dollar amounts on their pricing page.
Free Plan Availability (+1) A genuinely free tier is available (not just a free trial).
Pricing Clarity (+1) No reviewer-noted "expensive" or "costly" flags in cons — pricing is reasonable relative to value.
Contract Flexibility (+1) No annual contract requirement noted in our review cons.
Major Listed knowledge base (+1) Baseline point for being a fully evaluated, tier-1 knowledge base on this site.

Data export is shown as "Industry standard" across all knowledge bases. CSV/data export is a broadly available capability in all major knowledge base platforms (general industry knowledge) — we do not make knowledge base-specific claims about export formats that we cannot verify from our data.

Scores are objective and calculated directly from our structured product data. A knowledge base with a lower score is not necessarily a worse knowledge base — it may simply charge premium prices or require annual commitments that match its enterprise positioning.
